Methodist Church.

The Sussex Teen Haven, founded in 1946,
completed a very successful year.
Civil Defense courses were offered in Sussex.
A one-pound box of saltine crackers cost 27
cents at the A&P, but the same box cost 25 cents
at National Tea.

Terry Zignego was the Sussex Library’s
librarian.
The library changed its Wednesday hours from
3 to 8 p.m. to noon to 8 p.m.

Arthur and Theresa Jochman and their
daughter, Jessica, escaped a house fire at their
Lisbon home in Lynndale Farms West, but lost
their home and two cars to the flames.
Walt and Donna Wegner celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary. Walt had been a Hamilton
teacher, football coach and assistant principal
during his 1961-91 career.
