He married (1) ELIZABETH MAXON Abt. 1830 in Kingsbury, Broome Co., New York. She was born in Delaware Co., New York, and died December 1832 in Oneida County, New York. He married (2) PHOEBE MAXON August 13, 1833 in Delaware Co., New York. She was born March 18, 1816 in Courtright, Delaware, New York, and died April 10, 1886 in Pewaukee, Waukesha, Wisconsin. He married (3) SARAH HANKEY Abt. 1887.

She married JAMES MOYES August 28, 1862, son of JOHN MOYES and ELIZABETH RODGERS. He was born May 21, 1837 in Perthshire, Scotland, and died July 28, 1913.

Elected 2: Free Soiler and Abolitionist, then Republican having voted for Lincoln twice.

Elected 3: Joined and served as vice commander of Townsend Post No. 192 of the Grand Army of the Republic.

Military service 1: August 21, 1863, One of 17 Lisbon men in Co. F., 28th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment. Officially mustered in Oct 13, 1862.

Military service 2: August 25, 1865, Mustered Out, discharged in Madison, Wisconsin.

Religion: Lisbon United Presbyterian Church

Residence: 1959, Village of Sussex bought the Moyes-Marsden property of 78 acres and buildings for $36,088.19 for the future Sussex Village Park.
