She was born August 16, 1843 in Peasmarsh, Sussex, England, and died January 08, 1934 in Sussex, Lisbon Township, Waukesha County, Wisconsin.Notes for J AMES ANDERSON ELLIOTT:In one letter to his wife Sarah, during the war, James complained the lice were so severe, he had to hold his breath and submerge himself in the Arkansaw River to drown the lice. James asked his wife to go to the Champeny store (corner of Maple & Main) to get some blue ointment to treat the lice.
