Barnes, Patrick, a 19-year-old man, formerly of Sussex, d.  Saturday, 11/17/1999, he had been hunting with his father, Dennis, said his mother, Janice Barnes of Sussex. A 1998 graduate of Hamilton High School in Sussex, he had attended Waukesha County Technical College for tool-and-die work. He was employed at Herker Industries in Menomonee Falls, where he had started to work while in high school. Barnes and his father made headlines in 1996 after their boat capsized on Lake Winnebago. Barnes is also survived by a sister, Kelly (Joshua) Wojciechowski, and his grandmothers, Dorothy Barnes and Ruth Tewes.

Corbett, Cynthia was born Nov. 5, 1780 in Milford, MA , and died Sept. 12, 1864. She was married to Daniel Corbett, he died in NY in 1854. Her son Carlton was living in Pewaukee in 1850 (he would have been about 47). Cynthia may have moved out here after the death of her husband with her daughter, Sarah. In 1860 Cynthia was living with Sarah and Sarah’s husband George Brown (They married in 1856 in Pewaukee). Cynthia was 79, Sarah was 33, George was 40. Carlton died in Pewaukee Oct. 11, 1875 (born June 19, 1803 in Vermont) and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, along with his son Morris (Apr. 18, 1842-Oct. 3, 1869) and another son’s (Daniel) wife, Julia Brownell Corbett (July 18, 1843-Nov 2, 1868) who died in childbirth. Carlton was married to Lydia Zeluff Corbett, who outlived Carlton, moved to the Eau Claire area and eventually re-married, dying July 15, 1903 in Chippewa Falls. Another of Carlton’s son’s, Charles Henry, was born in Pewaukee on Feb. 9, 1855, married a Waukesha native, Anna Mary Hurtgen, the daughter of John and Eva (Hulbrack?) Hurtgen. Charles & Anna married Sept. 11, 1875 in Wolf’s Bar in Milwaukee. They had one child (Gertrude) in Waukesha County in 1876, then moved to Fond du Lac County by 1878 for the birth of their next child.

Bill was an active member of the Wisconsin Scottish Rite Bodies and Tripoli Temple & Antique Auto Unit. He served on the Pewaukee School Board in the 1950's.

HECKER, IDA (nee) BARTLETT, Lannon, Monday July 31, at age 80, mother of Howard, Eugene, Vernon and Harlan HECKER and Iva PFELL; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 7 brothers. 

IDA L. HECKER, died on Tuesday 1 August 1950 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born 4 June 1870, daughter of Smith & Grace BARTLETT, attended grade and high school at Pewaukee. Ida was married to Henry HECKER, on 30 October 1890, who preceded her in death 21 years ago. They spent their time on two farms near Sussex, Wisconsin. Selling them they lived retired at Lannon, Wisconsin. Five children mourn her passing, Howard, Eugene, Vern, Ivah and Harlan.

Mother of Barbara Schaefer, Lucinda (Severson) (Randy) Brown, Dolly (William "Bud") Pogantsch and Marlain (Gary) Riemer. Sister of Ruth Stommel and Wallace (Evelyn) Vanderpool. Sister-in-law of Helen Katzfey and Ann Vanderpool. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kreuser. Further survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Krzyzanowski, Lawrence C. "Larry" Of Sussex, died on Monday, June 23, 2008, at the age of 70 years. Larry was born on April 28, 1938, the son of Larry and Rose Krzyzanowski. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Menomonee Falls. Larry was a long time employee of Lakeside Bridge and Steel. Loving husband of Mary (nee Busch) of Sussex. Dear father of Bill (Laura) Krzyzanowski of Kansas City, MO, Laurie (Dave) Goblisch of Green Bay, Gregory (Malinda) Krzyzanowski of England and Valory (Chad) McSweeney of Brooklyn Park, MN. Proud grandpa of Preston, Kolbe, Jamisen, Zachary, Cullen, Abigail and Camdyn. Dear brother of Sister Georgeann Krzyzanowski of Milwaukee; brother-in-law of Judy (Frank) Brugner and Ted Busch. Larry is further survived by other relatives and friends. The funeral mass for Larry will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008, at 6:30 PM, at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls, WI. Reverend Arthur Heinze will be officiating. Magnusson, Margaret Elizabeth Oconomowoc, 94 years, born to Eternal Life December 27, 2008. Beloved sister of Helen Magnusson and Arthur (Betty) Magnusson. Preceded in death by her parents John and Hilda Magnusson, brother Sven (Betty) Magnusson and her sister, Ingrid (Hasan) Shaban. Doting Aunt to John (Sharon) Magnusson, Gary (Mari) Maack-Magnusson, Cynthia (Tom) Geppert, Helen Shaban, Charles (Cindy) Shaban, Aceile (Steve) Riley, Hasan Shaban, Jane (Patrick) Howell, Dan (Diane) Magnusson, Susan (Thomas) Neitzke, Joseph (Dawn) Magnusson and many grandnieces and nephews. Margaret was born March 3, 1914 and raised in Sussex, WI. She attended Sussex State Grade School, Waukesha High School where she was valedictorian. She graduated from U.W. Madison with a bachelors and a masters degree in elementary education. She taught 20 years at Park Lawn Elementary School in Oconomowoc where she became principal for an additional 20 years, making Oconomowoc her home for over 50 years. Margaret was very kind and generous to all. Highlights were treating her family to trips to Sweden to meet relatives. Special thank you to the caring staff at Shorehaven and Vitas Hospice Care. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Friday at First Congregational United Church of Christ (815 S. Concord Rd. Oconomowoc, WI 53066). Friends may visit at church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A lunch will be served following the service. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at St. James/Rosehill Cemetery in Sussex following the lunch. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for the Oconomowoc Food Pantry. Nitschke, Emily d. 11/19/1999. A Brownie who had planned to "bridge" to Junior Girl Scouts at the end of the current school year, Emily's passions were animals and artwork, her parents said. Emily was especially close to her grandfather, Albert Nitschke. In addition to her parents, brother and grandfather, Emily is survived by her paternal grandmother, Hannelore Nitschke of New Berlin; her maternal grandparents, Jim and Dolores Sikora of Hales Corners; and her great-grandparents, Alois Sikora of Hales Corners, Jacqueline Weber of Milwaukee and Charlotte Schreib of Hales Corners. Salentine, Roy J., of Sussex, b. on March 31, 1935 and d. April 7, 2004 at the age of 69 years. Husband of Peggy (nee Nettesheim) for 40 years. Father of Anthony, Brian and Patrick Salentine, Robert (Kari) Hood. Survived by his special friend, Jennifer (Chase) Bixler. Grandpa of Jonah, Jordan and
Brookelyn Hood. Brother of Harvey (Margie), Walter (Mary), John (Marieanne) Salentine, Gloria Gestl and Donna (John) Wegner. Brother-in-law of Ronald (Pat), Daniel, Phillip, Fred and Reginald (Jeanne) Nettesheim. Further survived by 33 foster children, other relatives and friends. Mass at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls. Roy was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a retired employee of the Hamilton School District.
