Grandmother of Karen Sue (Randy) Smith, Ken (Angie), Jerry (Deb), Dennis and Ryan Dibble, Judy (Bruce) Pine and Tony (Susan) Stevens. Sister of Esther Schafer. Further survived by great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Dobbertin, Merrill G.,of Merton, Oct. 2, 2000, age 81 years. Husband of the late Janet. Father of Robert (Marsha) of Scottsdale, AZ, Dennis of Dousman, Russell (Terrie) of Waukesha and Karen of Merton. Grandpa of Marisa, Donny, Derek, Dayna, Lacy, Tiffany (Jason) Phipps and Ryan. Great-grandpa of Kaytlin Jayne Phipps. Brother of Janet Mueller and Minnibel (Norm) Dunn. Merrill was a longtime farmer and worked for the Waukesha Highway Department for many years.

     John was born at New York, on 1 June 1833. He was the son of John Fuller and Elizabeth (Betsy) Clark. John died on 9 December 1908 at Pewaukee, Wi Bu Lisbon-Merton Union Cem..

     John was born at Shaftsbury Vt, on 15 August 1793. He was the son of John Fuller and Elizabeth (?) Fuller. He married Elizabeth (Betsy) Clark at Bennington, Vt, in December 1816. John died on 23 January 1878 at Merton, Wi. Bu:Lisbon-Merton Cem.

 Elizabeth was born at Bennington, Vt, on 24 May 1798. She was the daughter of James Clark and Elizabeth Wright. She married John Fuller at Bennington, Vt, in December 1816. Elizabeth died on 24 February 1876 at Merton, Wi. Bu: Lisbon-Merton Cem.

Jerry Golner, a tool and die maker who soared high over Holy Hill and his Town of Erin farm in his ultralight planes, died of cancer Tuesday at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. He was 73.

In 1994 Golner provided an ultralight kit and advice to industrial technology students at Arrowhead High School's North Campus. The students built the airplane, and Golner himself was the test pilot. Then he flew the plane to the Experimental Aircraft Association convention in Oshkosh. He took a number of his planes to the EAA over the years and this past summer was a technical counselor for ultralights there.

He was born Jerome F. Golner on June 11, 1926, in the Town of Lisbon to Frank and Sophie Golner and grew up on the family farm. At age 16, he went to work at a machine shop and later was employed at A.O. Smith Corp. for a few years. He was a partner in Lee Custom Engineering in Hartford before he bought his own machine shop in 1965 and renamed it Golner Precision Products. The business originally was in Pewaukee, but he eventually moved it to Hartland.

Golner became an advocate for the blind, and his work force of 10 to 12 people often included two or three who were blind or had partial eyesight. Using special measuring devices in Braille, they ran the machinery, and often customers never realized the work was being done by blind people, said Golner's son, David. In 1975 the Wisconsin Council for the Blind honored Golner as the state
employer of the year.

He had an interest in flying before meeting Marie Patrick while roller-skating at the Nightingale in Menomonee Falls, but, after they married in 1947, he spent his time on family and career instead of a pilot's license. After he had operated his own business for a while, however, he obtained his license and flew a Cessna 172 he owned with others. When high blood pressure caused him to give up the pilot's license in the early 1980s, he began building and flying ultralights, which require no license. At about the same time, he and his wife moved from Pewaukee to a 50-acre farm in Erin, and he built a 1,200-foot grass airstrip. He called it the Jerry Golner Interplanetary Airport. He never had a major accident, although a wheel once got caught in the soybeans. The ultralight flipped upside down, but Golner was not hurt. Two of his sons, David and Jack, have pilot's licenses.

In 1990 he retired and sold the machine shop to his son, James. James died in 1997, and his widow, Pamela Golner, now operates the business in Sussex. Two of Jerry Golner's sons, Jack and Richard, still work at Golner Precision Products.

Golner is survived by his wife, Marie, and six children, Patricia Wand of Milwaukee, Barbara Collins of Eagle River, Thomas, David and Jack, all of Pewaukee, and Richard of Waukesha. The funeral at St. John's Catholic Church, Highway Q and Monches Road in the Monches area of the Town of Merton.

Meissner, Alice Ruth, 75, died Wednesday (8/4/2000 ?) at LindenGrove Health Care Center in Menomonee Falls. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Darwin of Hartland; two sons, Robert (Terry) of South Dakota and Gerald (Laura) of Hartland; two daughters, Carol (Tom) Plant of Hartland and Darlene (Tony) Igl of Dousman; a sister, Janice (Edgar) Rankin of Menomonee Falls; and 12 grandchildren. Services at Calvary Baptist Church, N84-W16971 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls. The Rev. James Maxwell officiated.
